Claire
Our Facilities

My name is Claire and, quite honestly, I love being around dogs more than I do humans! Sorry folks, no malice intended, I just adore our canine friends! I love having time to get to know dogs and their personalities, and how they interact with each other. They are such a blessing, and their unconditional love and loyalty makes them an important part of the
family, so when they stay with Iris, Davy, Dolly and I, they become a part
of our family too. I have been around dogs since I was a nipper, learning a lot from my Dad who was a natural with them. I have been looking after dogs for 5 years now caring for many different breeds, from exuberant
pups to chilled oldies. I am fully licensed and insured, as well as
trained in Canine First Aid. I am also DBS checked.
Davy
Pictured with me, is my loyal companion and business PAWtner Iris, an American Bulldog Cross, who was with me for over 5 years after being rescued from a life of over-breeding. She has now sadly passed on, but was a a very gentle and patient dog,
very mothering in instinct, and was very good at teaching and guiding the younger dogs. I am very proud of just how far she came in her life with me, and she was a testament to the fact that love, security and a good routine can make all the
difference for a happier life. Our PAWtner-in-training, Davy, joined us in August
2021. He's a Miniature Schnauzer and is very confident and friendly, and loves
absolutely everyone! He loves to make every new Pawfolker feel very welcome
indeed, by playing with them and sharing his toys! Dolly joined our fur family in December 2022. She is also a Miniature Schnauzer and, despite her size, is a force to be reckoned with! She's learning fast being around other dogs all the time and loves to make new friends and play. She can be nervous when meeting people, and can bark a fair bit - but don't worry, it's only because she's shy and nervous...she'll come 'round.
I'm a glutton for pawnishment, so we now have 3 new pups - all miniature schnauzers, and related to Davy and Dolly. They joined us in 2024 and are very well socialised already! Towser, Bunty and Maggie, all from the same litter.

There's No Place like a
Home from Home
Davy, Dolly, Towser, Bunty, Maggie and I live in the NR13 area, about 8 miles outside Norwich, and with a large, secured garden to run around, explore and play in. There are doggy tents and a dog house to make dens in, play tunnels, a see saw and climbing blocks, as well as paddling pools for the summer months. There is also a smaller, gated garden if your dog prefers their own space outside, and a gated meet, greet & chill area (a.k.a PuppyLove Island) offering the dogs a shaded, outside lounging area with raised beds and cooling mats.

I allow dogs on sofas, which are covered with throws, but there are also nice cool, hard floors (they like to cool down in the Kitchen on a hot day!) and various sized dog beds available, as well as a small, a medium and a medium/large crate. I provide various sizes of feeding bowls and there is always plenty of drinking water on hand (paw). We have more than a few dog toys too, but dogs are welcome to bring their own trusted toys!
If you haven't boarded with us before, you need to book in a 'meet and greet' (which is free), so that both humans and canines can feel secure and happy about a potential stay. It is also an essential opportunity to go through all your pets requirements, like feeding routines, habits, personality traits, and any medicines they'll need administered..etc
